Wardrobe Staples: A Series- Chic Style

In our next installment of “Wardrobe Staples: A Series,” we discuss the chic style aesthetic take on staples. Whenever I think of chic, Megan Markle always comes to mind. No matter when the paparazzi catches her, she manages to always look so polished, and pulled together. Thank goodness she has a team of stylists to help, because there is no way possible today’s modern woman/mother with her daily itinerary could consistently look like they’re photo shoot ready. Nope. Not possible.
However, we CAN share a few of the modern princess’ staples. Here’s a quick run down of what every chic woman needs in her arsenal that’s guaranteed to get the royal approval.

The Tee Shirt Dress. This works just as hard, maybe even harder, than your regular tee. After all, it’s doing double duty. It’s both top and bottom in one.

Classic Jeans. A great pair of jeans can essentially make an appearance anywhere. Medium wash allows for the most versatility, automatically making it a staple.

Modern Black Ballerina Flats. The pointy toe allows for this flat to become refined without trying to hard. Gold hardware lends itself to the edginess of the shoe. A shoe worthy of any princess with a thing for bad boys.

MCM Medium Toni Vesitos Coated Canvas Shopper. The perfect carryall without trying to hard. In princess pink of course!

Frame Long Cuff Silk Shirt. Who doesn’t need a white button-up shirt in their wardrobe? I’ll wait, but I won’t hold my breath.

Ralph Lauren Pump in Cognac. Equally as important as the glass slipper, the nude heel. The key is to find the perfect shade for your hue. And that deserves a blog post of its own.

J. Crew No. 2 Pencil Skirt. What chic fashionista doesn’t have a good pencil skirt? This is actually in the chic starter kit. And this Barbie pink gives it the ultimate feminine touch. Pair with the MCM Toni shopper, and go conquer the world!

Loeffler Randall Dad Sandals. Perfect for giving those feet a rest when the show must go on, but not in heels. These come in a variety of color choices and patterns. The front bow adds the right amount of chic.
